This lush region boasts amazing tropical rainforests and an abundance of hiking trails leading into its wilderness and home to many endangered animals such as the Puma, Jaguar and bird species like the Scarlet Macaw and Harpey Eagle. Discover remote beaches, extraordinary marine life, some of the best scuba diving in the country as well as plenty of opportunities to horseback ride, fish, and go on whale and dolphin watching trips.

Sierpe is the door to Térraba-Sierpe National Wetlands and Latin America’s biggest reserve of mangroves. Some of the largest mangroves in the world grow here. Their jumble of exposed roots hold the tree trunks above the water with the outgoing tides, giving the impression of trees on stilts.

The wetlands sits at the juncture of the Térraba and Sierpe rivers and is home to an astonishing selection of birds, reptiles and animals. A boat tour gives you the chance to see monkeys, alligators and their cousin, the caiman. Birds abound here, so keep your binoculars at the ready; you don’t want to miss the multi-colored kingfisher. Watch for herons too, as they wait patiently to snag a fish among the mangrove roots.

Corcovado National Park cares for the most extensive forest in the American Pacific and a humid tropical forest. The richness of its habitats with 500 species of trees, 140 species of mammals, 117 species of amphibians, and 40 species of fresh-water fish, the park supports the essential populations of flora and fauna which are endemic and endangered.

With the stunning landscape and views, the Corcovado Park plays a vital role in the protection of Fauna like harpy eagle, crocodile and lizards, and flora.

I CAN BREATH AGAIN! This was a last minute getaway for myself to re-center and the owner was fantastic with helping me put the whole retreat together last minute. It was simple and absolutely so grateful for this wonderful experience. Very relaxing, yoga, fresh juices, beautiful tranguil villas, waterfalls and hiking! I cannot leave out the massage treatments and healer just blew me out of this world. Thank you for helping me find myself again!

My partner and I had an amazing time staying. We came in the rainy season and had the whole place to ourselves. Our chef Kenner was incredible and made us so many delicious meals. We saw lots of the local attractions as part of our package and on the slow days or in the afternoon we called the local taxi and got a ride down to the nearby town, Dominical! We had a full day of relaxation or second to last day with a couples massage and a special lunch by the waterfalls.

I would give this place 6 stars if it was possible! I needed to rest and recharge. The Sanctuary was like an accessible Shangri- la, nestled in lush foliage inhabited by birds, butterflies and so much more! The rooms were clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the jungle and waterfall stream from the back balcony. I did the 8 days Kundalini Yoga Meditation which helped me to unwind, release stress, and recharge. Furthermore, the vegan meals were superb!!

We had such an incredible time here! The rooms were stunning and the service of the staff that worked here was above and beyond all expectations. We felt such peace and love during our stay here. The layout of this property is so well designed it’s hard to even understand the magic in pictures. I highly recommend to anyone visiting the area
